AllWays Quebec
Celebrating New France

Carolan Nathan has always wanted to visit French Canada and took the opportunity to be in Quebec City at the time of the SAQ New France Festival, a yearly extravaganza celebrating the founding of Quebec.

Situated at the junction of major rivers, ‘Kebec’, the Algonquin name for ‘where the river narrows’ became a meeting place for the Indian tribes - the First Nations - and part of an area later to be named French Canada.

Quebec has since been named a World Heritage Treasure because of its unique architectural and historic value, and is considered the cradle of French civilization in North America.

French with a local flavour is spoken by many of the inhabitants although English is mostly a common language.

AllWays London
Shakespeare's Globe Theatre

While referring to Shakespeare's Globe Theatre as providing a unique theatrical experience is undoubtedly true, it still fails to do this place justice.

It might work to call it allsome (sic) as the Globe sucks its audiences into an all-embracing, all-encompassing and all-consuming occasion.

Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, recreates the Elizabethan playhouse on the south bank of the Thames that was home to the Lord Chamberlain's Men, which counted one William Shakespeare among its troupe.
