The Alexander Valley Winegrowers association is a community of winegrowers and winemakers sharing generations of family, history, and traditions dedicated to world-class winegrowing in the Alexander Valley.

The largest of Sonoma County's 17 American Viticultural Areas (AVAs or wine regions), Alexander Valley is home to multi-generational grape growers, more than 30 premium wineries, acres of rugged beauty, and expansive vistas.

The valley's micro-climates, elevation, topography, geology, and soils all contribute to making world-class wines, and the region is particularly known for its Cabernet Sauvignon.

Sonoma County is located 30 miles north of San Francisco and features more than 425 wineries, 100-plus organic farms, and 50 miles of stunning Pacific Ocean coastline.
