Antarctic : One Ocean Expeditions’

The largest colony of king penguins resides in South Georgia and is one of the many wildlife highlights to be seen on One Ocean Expeditions' (OOE) cruises as the Antarctic during spring breaks out in October and November.

Photography symposiums will also be taking place on the South Georgia In Depth trip, as well as the 19-night Falkland Islands, South Georgia, Antarctica Cruise.

The trips are timed to allow guests to witness the intense spring wildlife activity in the region.

Hundreds of thousands of king penguins, elephant seals fighting for territory, fur seals clustering on the beaches, beautiful albatross courtship rituals and a profusion of seabirds form what has been dubbed the greatest wildlife show on earth.

South Georgia In Depth – Ten full days exploring a seldom-visited corner of the planet, beginning in Stanley on the Falkland Islands, before boarding Akademik Sergey Vavilov to cross the South Atlantic to South Georgia Island.

One Ocean Expeditions is a Canadian expedition vessel operator founded in 2007.

The company operates two ships, each with a high ice class and carrying less than 98 guests and which are specifically designed for polar exploration.
