Art of London’s The Augmented Gallery

Art of London's The Augmented Gallery is a 'reality art gallery trail' from The Royal Academy of Arts, National Portrait Gallery, The National Gallery, Art of London and Sky Arts.

It offers a chance to 'experience art beyond the gallery walls' through an app that gives free access to the art trail.

This includes a route map, commentaries and a list of the art works on virtual display.

Beginning at the National Gallery and ending at Fortnum & Mason on Piccadilly, the tour consists of twenty frames and plaques on walls around the area with a QR code.

When scanned, this opens the app and the user can tilt phone up to the easily identifiable Art of London marker located on the wall to view painting through augmented reality.
