Bled recognised as one of the most welcoming cities
The Slovenian city of Bled has been included in Booking.com's '10 most welcoming cities on earth for 2022', based on more than 232 million verified reviews from travellers.
Bled is a resort town in the foothills of the Julian Alps and situated along the glacial Lake Bled.
It is also situated in a triangle of European capitals, including Venice, Vienna and Budapest.
On a cliff overlooking the lake is the 11th-century Bled Castle, which houses a museum, chapel and printing press.
Atop a small island in the lake's centre is the Pilgrimage Church of the Assumption of Maria.
