Inca Rail scenic service to Machu Picchu, Peru

Travellers visiting the ancient Inca citadel of Machu Picchu can now opt for the new 360° Machu Picchu Train.

The train's domed panoramic windows are taller and wider than others currently operating on this route giving passengers an enhanced view of the Andes mountain range as they travel to Machu Picchu.

The new train also features an open-air observation carriage, allowing passengers to step out and enjoy the scenery.

The on-board experience is enhanced by the modern connectivity, including USB ports at each seat.

Passengers can also download a special GPS activated app at the start of their journey, which will provide an insight into what can be experienced on the journey.

The 360° Machu Picchu Train is available to book for daily departures, with a capacity of 248 passengers on each trip.

There will be two departures per day from Poroy station, on the outskirts of the Inca capital of Cusco and four departures from Ollantaytambo, the main station of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, located in between Cusco and Machu Picchu.

This will include the Urubamba river valley, cloud forest draped peaks and Inca ruins.

Inca Rail offers rail services between Cusco, the Incan Fortress town of Ollantaytambo in the Sacred Valley of the Incas and UNESCO World Heritage site, Machu Picchu, also known as The Lost City of the Incas.
