Les Castels : camping in France

Les Castels is a group of 25 camping sites throughout France that are all independently owned.

The smallest campsite has 56 pitches and the largest 700 with a comination of tented pitches and self-catering accommodation

The choice of destinations range from the rolling hills of the Normandy countryside to the Breton coast and from the south of France to the Atlantic.

The sites themselves are located in parkland, farmland and forest.

Some of the treehouses on several sites are perched 20 metres high in ancient trees.

Activities available are generally based on local culture, cuisine and can include wine tasting and heritage tours to cookery lessons and musical soirées.

A new addition to the Les Castles portfolio is the Whaka Lodge, a four-star site near Auch, south-western France.

Whaka features Dreamlodge glamping accommodation and a tapas/wine bar along with three lakes for swimming, fishing and water sports.
