Lübeck and Travemünde

Lubeck-_20210521-110126_1

Lübeck and Travemünde Lübeck was one of the great mercantile medieval cities.

The entire Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The old spirit of the Hanseatic League can still be sensed in the Old Town with its marvellous 5 Gothic churches and the more than 80 hidden alleyways.

In the newly built European Hansemuseum the history of the Hanse with its 800 years of adventure and medieval commerce can be discovered.

Lübeck is known for its Holsten Gate and marzipan.

The Hanseatic City of Lübeck with the Baltic seaside resort of Travemünde is the Northern German gateway from and to Scandinavia and the Baltic countries.

Travemünde has big ships, fine sandy beaches and the Baltic Sea.

Here you will find traditional vessels, fishing boats and huge ferries.
