Madeira Ocean Trails has launched a range of outdoor activities across Madeira and Porto Santo Islands.

Madeira has seen an increase in demand for outdoor activities both relaxing and adrenaline pumping pursuits.

The new website offers visitors to the two neighbouring Portuguese islands the chance to discover a range of running, hiking and canyoning opportunities.

There are currently 61 trails on the website, with plans to expand this network.

Each trail is described by distance, duration, altimetry, level of difficulty and google maps location, along with images and videos showing all the surrounding landscape.

Major events and annual competitions are also included.

The Madeira Ocean Trails Brand was initially launched in 2017 to promote the outdoor activities that the destinations have to offer.

Under a single brand, Madeira and Porto Santo Islands are being promoted as a year-round destination, especially for nature and outdoor lovers.
