Nouvelle-Aquitaine
Nouvelle-Aquitaine a large region in south-west France takes in :
- Bordeaux : a city with vineyards and ocean
- Cognac : known for its brandy and natural territory
- Atlantic Coast : 970km of coastline
- Biarritz – Pays basque :a seaside town at the foot of the Pyrenees
- Dordogne Valley: known for its prehistoric sites, castles and natural beauty

- Pyrenees: a mountain range offering summer and winter pursuits, and
- Poitiers-Futuroscope-Marais Poitevin : offering cultural and family breaks.
There are also :
- 16 UNESCO sites illustrate the richness of a heritage not to be found elsewhere in France.
- 5,000 km of cycle paths, and
- France's leading wine tourism destination, with over 6 million visitors to its vineyards each year.
The Nouvelle-Aquitaine Tourism Board aims to become the 'ambassador of a new tourism model with a sustainable offer suited to its visitor needs through :
- self-connection : that allows visitors to 'find themselves'via a spa break, tasting new delicacies at summer markets or with a morning surf session or a walk in the forest
- connection to nature: with almost a quarter of our territory listed as protected natural areas with pine trees on the Atlantic coast, climbing the Pyrenees peaks at sunrise or touring vineyards by bike, and
- connecting with others : trying out local products,. Meeting craftspeople with traditional skills or taking in one or more of the regions festivals and events.
The Nouvelle-Aquitaine region's road, rail and air connections provides easy access from the rest of France and Europe.
