Outdoor pursuits in Alta Badia

Alta Badia (the South Tyrolean Dolomites) offers a wide range of outdoor activities with or without a guide.

These include trekking, hiking, free climbing, bike touring and paragliding are within a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Movimënt Parks

The Movimënt Parks are located at Piz La Ila, Piz Sorega, Pralongiá and Boé, and are accessed by 10 cable car routes.

A routelinks all the Parks, which can be enjoyed on foot or by riding one of the E-bikes available for rent.

The Movimënt is also a dog-friendly zone.

La Crusc Summer Park

La Crusc Summer Park is a family park with hugge wooden chairs, large animal shaped deckchairs, the dragon's den, water games and a mini zoo.

The mountains

Mountain enthusiasts can choose from a range of activities as part of the Explore your way programme.

The nature gym category is based on activities such as running, trail running, geocaching, orienteering and speed-hiking, whereas the "rock your body" category includes rock climbing, free climbing, exploring, trekking and via ferratas.

The bike category is dedicated to mountain bike enthusiasts, including bike touring, freeride, e-mtb and enduro.

The "flying" category is for lovers of adrenaline, offering many possibilities for paragliding, hang gliding and slacklining.

Weekly walks

Throughout the summer, Alta Badia offers weekly guided tours as part of the "Walk with us" programme.

The excursions are divided into topics such as culture, nature and adventure, and on the basis of their level of difficulty.

Walkers will have the chance to venture into the Fanes-Senes-Braies and Puez-Odle natural parks.

This is the chance to discover hidden paths and the flora and fauna that surrounds them.

The snow cave

Tours include a trip to the Snow cave at the foot of Santa Croce mountain.

This is a natural cave, dug out by the slow advance of the snow and by the subsequent melting of the ice which comes down from the sides of the mountains above.

During the winter months its snow all the way.
