Paramount London theme park to open in 2021

Paramount has unveiled plans to build a 50-ride Paramount London theme park to rival Disneyland Paris.

Located near Dartford, Kent, and costing around £3.5billion it s set to open in 2021.

Covering an area twice the size of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park Paramount London would also house a 2,000 seat cinema.

Research suggests it would attract 50,000 people a day and would be inspired by Paramount films, BBC productions and Aardman Animations.

The new theme park will contain a number of themed zones, with rides and attractions for families, children and the more adventurous thrill-seeking visitor.

At its heart will be a wide range of indoor, covered and open-air experiences as well as a variety of cafes, bars and restaurants.

Late afternoon every day the 'Paramount and Friends Carnival' is planned to take place.

Every evening a show would celebrate the works of Paramount Pictures and the chance to take in a 'West End' style production at one of the theatres.

Indoor and outdoor venues could also stage live comedy acts and concerts.

The first, main phase, of the new theme resort will open to the public in 2021, with additional rides and attractions scheduled to be added in the following years.
