​ The Rome Cavalieri! a Waldorf Astoria resort just outside Rome,opened in 1963 as the very first Waldorf Astoria property in Europe.

It is set within 15 acres of parkland with four swimming pools, Davis Cup standard tennis courts, a spa offering La Prairie treatments, a newly-refurbished Imperial Club.

The newly refurbished bedrooms and suites, many of which have views over the Vatican and St Peter's Basilica.

The hotel's La Pergola is the only three Michelin-starred restaurant in Rome, and houses the world's largest private art collection
