San Francisco Pride holds one of the oldest and largest annual LGBTQIA parades in the world every June.

Hundreds of thousands of people visit the city (during normal times) to experience the parade and join in the celebrations.

The parade passes through along Market Street and is free and open to all.

The festival includes 20+ live stages at the Civic Centre Plaza, showcasing the diverse talent within the LGBTQ+ community.

San Francisco has a rich history for the LGBT+ community, with Harvey Milk elected the first openly gay politician who was shot and killed for his beliefs in 1978.
