Sani Resort : Bear Grylls Survival Academy
Halkidiki, Greece
The Bear Grylls Survival Academy, the first a European resort, has been developed with the adventurer and survivalist.
Guests challenge themselves and develop new skills through nature adventures.
The Sani Resort's location in a 1,000-acre ecological reserve, with pine-fringed beaches, lush woodlands and wetlands, provides a good base for active families.
Under the direction of instructors selected by Bear Grylls, the Academy offers the chance for families to undertake activities designed to teach the essentials of wilderness survival.
These range from shelter and fire-building, to navigation, signalling for help, and astro-navigation on a night-time trek.
The academy is designed to combine the three natural worlds of Sani, with its unspoilt beach, forest and wetlands, along with a trip by boat with views over the Cape Sani.
