The French region of Savoie Mont Blanc covers two-thirds of the French Alps.

It takes in mountain resorts including Val d'Isère, Méribel, Morzine-Avoriaz and Chamonix along with Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc, Valloire and Le Grand Bornand.

With 112 mountain resorts in total, Savoie Mont Blanc is gearing up to the summer season focussed on healthy living and outdoor pursuits.

The most popular activities among those who already frequent the mountains in summer are walking/hiking, food and drink (regional produce, vineyard visits, local markets), swimming in lakes, rivers and pools, relaxation, cycling and family activities.
