Marriott has completed a $20 million renovation of the Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa.

The five-star resort now offers 176 guest rooms with 10 different luxury accommodation types along with seven restaurants and bars, three outdoor tropical fresh water pools and the Shine Spa for Sheraton which is situated on its own private island.

Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa is situated on the private island of Furanafushi in the Republic of Maldives and is a 15 minute speedboat ride from Malé International Airport.

The resorts accommodation has 10 different room categories located around the island including the restyled Deluxe Cottages, Cottage Water Bungalows and Water Bungalows with Pools.

The newest addition to the dining at the resort is the Feast Restaurant, which has been designed to emulate the local culture.

Marriott International, which has more than 6,700 properties in 130 countries and territories, was founded by J.Willard and Alice Marriot and has been guided by family leadership for more than 90 years.
