South America specialist, Swoop Patagonia is offering a five-day trek, which crosses Argentina's rugged Cordon del Bosque mountain range, to reach the tranquil shores of Lago del Desierto.
The 'El Condor to Lago del Desierto' trek requires participants to ford rivers, cross rugged terrain and negotiate beech forests.
They also descend in to valleys for up to eight hours a day and stay overnight in a remote estancia, n gaucho refuges or wild camps. It takes in :
•the Lago del Desierto where accommodation is at the eco-friendly wooden lodge, Aguas Arribas, situated on the eastern edge of the lake.
