The Barbados Equestrian Experience
Barbados Equestrian Experience encourages travellers to swap sun loungers for saddles on the Caribbean island.
It offers equestrian events that combines luxury, learning and the thrill of horse riding or spectating in one of the Caribbean's most beautiful destinations.
Founded and hosted by Barbadian equestrian and animal welfare advocate Dr Laura Smith, the experience offers a chance to explore the island's lush countryside and pristine coastline from horseback.
Guests can take in scenic trail rides and beachside gallops and hands-on sessions like Equine Massage Therapy, where participants learn practical techniques to keep horses relaxed, supple, and healthy.
The aim is to forge a deeper connection between horse and rider.
Itineraries can also feature attending equestrian events such as polo matches, horse racing and eventing.
Guests can also enjoy behind-the-scenes access with renowned Barbadian jockey and trainer Sean Hall, to discover what it takes to compete at the highest level in Caribbean horse racing.
The Barbados Equestrian Experience also champions sustainable tourism and animal welfare, ensuring every horse receives expert care and training.
The island of Barbados is a Caribbean gem rich in cultural, heritage, sporting, culinary and eco experiences.
The only coral island in the Caribbean, it is surrounded by white sand beaches.
With over 400 restaurants and eateries, Barbados claims the title Culinary Capital of the Caribbean and home to Barbados Food and Rum Festival.
