The Barbados Food and Rum Festival celebrates local cuisine, the island's rum tradition and the 'Caribbean joy atmosphere'.
(annual) 22 to 25 October 2021
Rum is the alcoholic drink made from local sugar cane and containing 40% alcohol.
The Mount Gay distillery, founded in 1703, is believed to produce the oldest rum found anywhere in the world.
The festival also features culinary events by local and visiting chefs, rum experts and mixologists along with live music from Caribbean bands.
