The British Virgin Islands
The British Virgin Islands (BVI) forms part of a volcanic archipelago in the Caribbean of four main islands and many smaller ones.
It is known for its reef-lined beaches and as a yachting destination.
The capital, Road Town is located on the largest island of Tortola, which is home to the rainforest-filled Sage Mountain National Park.
On Virgin Gorda island is the Baths, a labyrinth of beachside boulders.
The BVI reopened its borders to international travellers in December 2020 with arrivals at Lettsome International Airport on Beef Island.
Seeds of Love
The Seeds of Love programme was launched in 2017 to replant trees lost in the as a result of Hurricanes Irma and Maria.
This includes the planting of White Cedar trees, the territorial tree of the BVI.
