The Falklands, South Georgia & Antarctic Islands with Viva Expeditions
Viva Expeditions is offering a 22-day adventure to the Falklands, South Georgia & Antarctic Islands.
On this journey, guests will explore the Falkland Islands, encounter deserted whaling stations on South Georgia Island and pay your respects at Shackleton's grave.
Elsewhere, you'll encounter king, chinstrap and gentoo penguins as well as learn all about them through daily lectures, and get close to whales and seals from a Zodiac boat while moving through icebergs and glaciers
The Falkland Islands present an opportunity to witness the biological diversity and scenery of the southern islands.
Penguins and albatrosses are abundant here, and the Falklands are home to the largest Black Browed albatross colony in the world.
The colourful houses in Port Stanley provide a contrast to the long dark winters.
On the South Shetland Islands, two shore landings per day (weather conditions permitting), provide the chance to see weddell, crabeater and leopard seals, gentoo, chinstrap and adélie penguin rookeries, and orcas, humpback and minke whales in the cold Antarctic waters.
Viva Expeditions offers small ship cruises and overland expeditions to Antarctica, South and Central America.
