The Royal Lancaster London

Royal-Lancaster-London-1

The Royal Lancaster London, which overlooks Hyde Park, has unveiled its new design following an £80 million renovation.

The mid-century hotel has reinstated its original 'Royal Lancaster London' name.

The entire frontage of the hotel has been remodelled and the exterior architecture now features an eight-metre high glazed façade revealing a double-height reception space.

The showpiece of the lobby is a sweeping staircase of white Carrara marble which wraps around to the first floor.

Set within acres of white marble is the new Hyde Lobby Bar, serves champagne, cocktails, coffee and light cuisine throughout the day.

The redesign of the 18-storey hotel included the complete refurbishment of all 411 guestrooms and suites, with each one having a view across London.

The first stage of the refurbishment commenced in 2015 with the redesign of Nipa Thai, the hotel's award-winning restaurant.

The grand opening is now taking place as the majority of the hotel is completely renovated.

As one of the iconic London hotels, the Royal Lancaster London has seen Michael Caine being filmed for 'The Italian Job', and events attended by Mohammed Ali and Princess Diana and an after-party for The Beatles' Yellow Submarine film premiere.
