The Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway

The Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway will be running steam trains again from 1 May 2021.

The eight-mile return trips, through the Banwy Valley, run from Llanfair Caereinion to Welshpool

The reopening of the Mid Wales tourist attraction will see one and two-hour return journeys with the chance to travel first class for the first time.

The Llanfair line's former Sierra Leone Railway first-class carriage, with its white leather armchairs, will be rostered on every passenger service.
