The Toscana Resort Castelfalfi, an eco-sustainable retreats, is located the medieval village of Castelfalfi.

In addition to welcoming back guests, the resort has introduced 20 families of bees as new permanent residents on the estate.

Each of the 20 beehives is currently home to over 40,000 local Tuscan bees and that number is expected to grow in the coming months to more than 70,000 per hive.

The beehives, the first of their kind in Italy, are made from sustainably sourced wood and natural paint, and specially designed to help encourage the bees flourish.

Bees at Castelfalfi, nature-inspired experiences will include complimentary hive tours and honey tasting sessions.

There will also be an opportunity to support Resilient Bee Project's conservation efforts in Italy with a new Be A Farmer Bee Addition programme.



Toscana Resort Castelfalfi sits among 2,700 acres of protected vineyards, olive groves, lakes, and a wildlife reserve.

Since its launch in 2007 by TUI Group, the resort has been committed to providing an authentic and luxurious Tuscan experience that promotes eco-sustainability and supports the local community through luxury hospitality and organic wine and olive oil production.

The complex comprises luxury apartments, villas, and farmhouses to purchase and rent, and a 5-star hotel that is a member of the Preferred Hotels & Resorts L.V.X Collection.

This features 151 rooms in the hotel's main building or in a restored historic tobacco warehouse.
