Trentham Monkey Forest, in Trentham, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire is the UK's largest primate enclosures.

It has launched a mobile app designed to enhance the visitor experience at the attraction.

The new app provides visitors with an interactive guide as they explore the forest among the free-roaming monkeys.



Home to 140 Barbary macaques

The forest is home to 140 Barbary macaques with visitors taking a walkways to view the endangered monkeys live as they would in the wild.

With no cages or bars, the monkeys are free to roam as they would in the wild.

The app's interactive map guides visitors to all the best viewing spots and there are also quizzes and facts about the monkeys' behaviour

Barbary macaques are listed as endangered by the IUCN Red List due to loss of habitat and the illegal pet trade.
