Value places to stay in Champagne & Ardenne

The Champagne-Ardenne region of France is found in the northeast of the country, bordering Belgium.

Mostly corresponding to the historic province of Champagne, the area is known for its sparkling white wine, named after the champagne wine region.

La Source Bleue, Gudmont Villiers, near Chaumont

This former watermill estate takes its name from the extraordinary blue mineral lake in the wooded grounds.

Ardenne

Château-fort de Sedan, Sedan, French Ardennes

Inside the walls of the largest fortified castle in Europe, this 4* hotel is a blend of historical & modern.

Duplex suites open onto the castle ramparts and there is a self-guided audio tour of this historical monument, a garrison until the 1960's, when the fortress was purchased by the town for just 1€.
