Wild Coast Tented Lodge, Sri Lanka
Resplendent Ceylon has opened its third property, a wildlife lodge in the Yala National Park on Sri Lanka's southeast coast.
Wild Coast Tented Lodge is situated on a pristine beach on the fringes of theNational Park and looks to combine the comforts of a luxury hotel with the back-to-nature excitement of a wilderness safari camp.
The 28 tented "cocoon suites" have vaulted ceilings, offering panoramic jungle views from the double-height glass facades.
The interiors include freestanding handmade copper bathtubs and four-poster beds.
Teak floors and canvas walls complement dark leather touches and repurposed metallic hardware.
Resplendent Ceylon was created by the Fernando family, Sri Lanka's most prominent tea producers and founders of Dilmah Tea.
It has a collection of small, luxury resorts.
