I started my career in the '70s as a marketing and advertising copywriter and then gradually discovered my love of travel, especially travel to Italy. Especially, travel to the lesser traveled places in Italy. I wrote a travel memoir in 2009 and that launched my career as a blogger and travel journaling workshop leader. In 2014 we bought our first apartment in Abruzzo, in the small but vibrant city of Sulmona. We bought a second one in 2016 because we cannot get enough of this region, its people, its natural beauty and its marvelous cucina povere. I have published my stories in Dream of Italy newsletter, Richmond Times-Dispatch newspaper, AAA's Home & Away and Healthcare Traveler, as well as on my blog, Travel the Write Way.
