Bisate Lodge, Rwanda

Wilderness Safaris Bisate Lodge has opened next to Rwanda's Volcanoes National Park.

Comprising six forest villas, Bisate Lodge will offer a luxurious base from which to enjoy an extraordinary gorilla and golden monkey conservation experience and a holistic exploration of this beautiful region.

Situated within the amphitheater of an eroded volcanic cone, the 27-hectare Bisate site is incomparable in terms of its natural splendour, with views towards the Karisimbi, Bisoke and Mikeno volcanoes.

Bisate is within easy driving distance of Park Headquarters, from where gorilla treks depart daily.

Aside from tracking one of the ten habituated gorilla groups, other attractions include Iby'wacu cultural village, the Twin Lakes of Ruhondo and Burera, the lava tunnels of the Musanze Caves, Dian Fossey's grave, and the endemic golden monkey.

Walks on the extensive property offer birding and participation in the reforestation programme.
