Beaches in Denmark
With over 7,400km of coastline, Denmark offers some of the finest beaches in Europe.
Søndervig Beach
Søndervig Beach in West Jutland is one of Denmark's best beach and a true favourite among Danes.
A popular seaside resort for the last century, Søndervig is a dynamic beach backed by rolling sand dunes on the North Sea.
Blåvand Beach
The 40km-long Blåvand Beach, near Hvide Sande in West Jutland, gives visitors the chance to escape from the hustle and bustle of life and to embrace nature.
It's also one of the best places in Denmark to look for amber!
Blokhus Beach
Blokhus Beach is one of the finest beaches in Northern Europe with fine, white sand and high, wind-protected dunes.
Visitors can drive from Rødhus in the south to Løkken in the north along the beach by car.
Saltum Beach, North Jutland
The wide, child-friendly sandy beach of Saltum, where the Blue Flag blows, joins the beach at Blokhus.
The locals even speak of the Alps here, and measured by Danish standards, the 100 metres high dunes are like mountains.
Skagen
Skagen's wide beaches and high dunes are a place to walk and take in views of the North Sea.

Rømø Beach
The sandy island of Rømø, on Denmark's West Coast, has some of the largest beaches.
Henne Beach
Henne Beach was named one of the best places to visit in Europe by CNN in 2019 for its long, white sandy beach, sheltered dunes and sunsets.
There is also hiking and wildlife trails and the two Michelin-starred restaurant.
Marielyst Beach
Often voted Denmark's best beach three years, Marielyst Beach on the island of Falster in South Zealand with calm waters and several sandbanks to explore.
Hestehoved Beach
Hestehoved Beach, on the island of Lolland, has clean waters and one of the longest bathing
Bisnap Beach
Bisnap beach, between Hou and Hals, is child friendly, clean and quiet.
Amager Beach Park
Amager Beach Park, Copenhagen has five kilometres of sandy beach and outdoor activities on an island and lagoon.
It's as popular with families as it is with young locals, due to its calm waters and open spaces.
Hou Beach
Hou beach is child friendly, easily accessible and very close to the lively little town of Hou!
Gudmindrup Beach
This beach is at Sejerø Bay in West Zealand, a couple of hours drive from Copenhagen.
This broad sandy beach with dunes is a great place to try windsurfing and kite surfing.
Hornbæk Beach
Hornbæk Beach is the largest and most well known beach on The Danish Riviera on North Zealand and is an hour's drive from Copenhagen.
Dueodde Beach
Dueodde is the located on the Baltic island of Bornholm.
The sand is ultra-fine and the water is clear and clean with lots sand bars. Danish Michelin restaurant, Kadeau is found here.
Kerteminde North Beach
Kerteminde's North Beach on Funen Island is popular with families and young people.
Tisvilde Tisvildeleje Beach
Tisvildeleje Beach at the top of the Danish Riviera on North Zealand, is a popular holiday area for Danes.
There is the fishing town of Tisvildeleje and the heathland of Tisvilde Hegn nearby.
