Gane and Marshall : Eco Challenges
Wildlife and adventure specialist, Gane and Marshall, has launched a collection of small-group, Eco Challenges in the UK & Ireland, Norway, France, Kenya and Tanzania.
All designed with a light environmental footprint and climate care funding included.
The challenges, which are geared to families with older children and small groups of friends, range from moderate to extreme.
They are from four days to 10 in length, and encompass a range of activities, including trekking, biking and kayaking. Each of the adventures can be tailored to suit the strength and fitness level of the group.
All challenges are operated under Gane and Marshall's new environmental policy.
This includes the allocation of 10 per cent of the tour operator's pre-tax profits to environmental causes, and carbon-offsetting of all flights booked for customers included as standard.
In Europe the Eco Challenges include :
- the Ireland End to End Bike Challenge (Ireland)
- a triple discipline adventure in the Verdon Gorge, Provence (France)
- Hadrian's Wall Coast to Coast Trek (England)
- the Snowdonia Three Thousands (Wales)
- the West Highland Way Trek (Scotland),
- and an Arctic dog sled challenge (Norway).
The East Africa Eco Challenges, with carbon offset flights, include Gane and Marshall classics, Kilimanjaro (Tanzania) and Mt. Kenya (Kenya).
