Glamping in the Norwegian Arctic

Off-the-Map-lead

Off the Map Travel has launched a new Arctic glamping experience above the Arctic Circle and under the midnight sun.

Guests will stay in a Lavvu, a Sami tepee, next to white sandy beaches and clear turquoise seas.

The new experience also includes the chance to fish for dinner and learn traditional Scandinavian wilderness cooking.

The new glamping eco-camp is pitched in one of the world's most spectacular wilderness locations in the Lofoten Islands on the banks of one of Norway's fjords.

As the Lofoten Islands are situated at 68° North, above the Arctic Circle, the camp also allows guests to experience the long Arctic summer days – and24 hours of Midnight Sun in June and July.

The trip includes the chance to join a 'fish to dish' experience taking guests to the best fishing spots to catch dinner and then join the camp's chef on a wilderness cooking course.

Guests can also forage for wild berries and herbs to create local dishes for a final Scandinavian feast.

Interreg Nord and Visit Arctic Europe

The trip is supported by Interreg Nord and the Visit Arctic Europe project, developing travel to the Arctic Europe region.
