Heritance Aarah, Maldives
The recently opened Heritance Aarah is the first hotel in the Maldives to be awarded Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design – Gold Certificate for its sustainable initiatives.
This acknowledges that the Heritance Aarah complies with the US Green Building Council rating system and is awarded to properties that save energy, water and resources; generate less waste; and support human health.
The all-inclusive resort, which is the newest addition to the Aitken Spence Hotels portfolio, is located in Raa Atoll and accessible from Velana International Airport via a 40-minute seaplane flight.
It has 150 villas, six restaurants, five bars, a PADI dive centre and an IASO Medi Spa.
Aitken Spence Hotels operates 21 hotels and resorts across Sri Lanka, Maldives, Oman and India.
