After dark, the resorts reef reveals sea life which are dormant during the day share the open seas.
These include scorpion fish, see urchins, puffer fish, box fish, starfish and small shrimps, with underwater lanterns aiding the viewing.
The sky in the Maldives is so bright that on clear nights' guests can spend time planet-gazing through Mirihi's high-strength telescope.
Personal mobile devices can be attached to the telescope to take images of the full moon; rings of Saturn and Moons of Jupiter.
