Barrel Camping Pods on the Water, Paekalda Holiday Centre

The Paekalda Holiday Centre in Harju County on the shores of Rummu Quarry Lake, 45km southwest of Tallinn, offers a selection of log houses and five special barrel pods on the lake.

Each pod has three beds and a glass wall at one end offering views of the lake and sunset.

The quarry dates back to the 1930s and was once a penal institution.

All the industrial buildings and trees were submerged when the quarry was flooded, which can be seen when diving.

It is a popular area for swimming in summer and ice-skating in winter.
