Snowdrops at Barnsdale Gardens in February, UK

Barnsdale Gardens is a horticultural site located in Rutland, England, used by Geoff Hamilton through the BBC television series Gardeners' World, which he presented from 1979 until his death in 1996.

The gardens cover eight acres and has 37 individual gardens and features.

Barnsdale Gardens highlights Snowdrop Month each February.

The snowdrop walk goes through the range of snowdrops planted throughout the gardens, with common snowdrops as well as many rare and unusual varieties.

The Geoff Hamilton Winter Border itself features over 9000 Snowdrops, all individually planted by hand.

Rutland is England's smallest with Oakham its county town and Uppingham known for its antiques and galleries.

Rutland Water offers a range of water sports, cycling, fishing and bird watching, while Rutland's many villages, in typical English countryside have traditional country pubs.
