The Morukuru Family comprises exclusive use properties in the Madikwe Game Reserve

They comprise the Owner's House, River House & Farm House, with each operating '100% off the national grid'.



The Madikwe Game Reserve itself is a conservation area in South Africa's North West Province, bordering Botswana.

The reserve's grassland, forest and rocky Tshwene Tshwene hills are home to a variety of wildlife including elephants, lions, leopards and rhinos, plus endangered wild dogs and hundreds of bird species including ostrich, vultures and the large kori bustard.

Animals often gather at the Madikwe Dam to drink at sunset.

The Morukuru Family set up the Morukuru Goodwill Foundation, in 2007 to support the local community and funding conservation efforts in the Reserve through.

The Morukuru Goodwill Foundation has itself launched Safaris with a Purpose, a safari experience offering guests the opportunity to support the local community and conservation efforts, particularly

Rhino protection, collaring Elephant Lion & Cheetah and Lion contraception.

The Morukuru Goodwill Foundation also operates in the De Hoop Nature Reserve where Morukuru Family have the Beach Lodge & Ocean House ocean front properties.

De-Hoop is a World Heritage Site and part of the Cape Floral Kingdom, one of six Floral Kingdoms of the World.
