The Eastern & Oriental Express

AO-Belmond-train-1

Eastern & Oriental Express, a Belmond Train, Southeast Asia will return to service in February 2024, after a four-year gap.

This is a luxury train that carries passengers over four days between Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, stopping at Kuala Lumpur, Butterworth and Kanchanaburi.

The train will launch two new seasonal journeys departing from Singapore and travelling through Malaysia's with the Essence of Malaysia (November to February) and Wild Malaysia (March to October).

The renewed service will be on trains with restyled interiors, elevated on board experiences, and journeys encompassing culture, gastronomy, architecture and the arts.

Belmond has a worldwide portfolio of hotels and trains along with river cruises and safaris. Following its first acquisition of Hotel Cipriani in Venice in 1976, Belmond now has 47 properties across 28 countries and territories.

A pioneer of slow travel, Belmond has been operating the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express since 1982 and has beach resorts, such as Maroma on the Riviera Maya, historic properties including Villa San Michele in the Florentine foothills, gateways to UNESCO world heritage sites, such as Hotel das Cataratas in Brazil's Iguassu National Park.
