The Quiet Site, Cumbria

AO-Quiet-site-1

The Quiet Site is an eco holiday park at Ullswater in the Lake District.

The Lake District is a region and national park in Cumbria in northwest England.

A popular vacation destination, it's known for its glacial ribbon lakes, rugged fell mountains and historic literary associations.

Market towns such as Kendal, Ambleside and Keswick on scenic Derwentwater are bases for exploring the area and home to traditional inns, galleries of local art and outdoor equipment shops.

The Quiet Site offers two self-catering holiday cottages, six luxury glamping cabins, 14 timber camping pods and 15 underground Hobbit Holes.

The Quiet Site first opened to campers and caravanners in 1963 and was taken over by the Holder family in 1985.

It is committed to ethical, responsible and sustainable tourism and with Britain's first Zero Waste shop on a Holiday Park opened in 2019.

The Quiet Bar is in a one time agricultural barn erected in 1680 and rebuilt in 1752.
