The Flemish Masters Museum Tour

AO-Flanders-1

Visit Flanders has launched the Flemish Masters Museum Tour, a series of online documentaries that offer viewers a virtual overview of several prominent Flemish museums and collections.

The Flemish Region of Belgium is a Dutch-speaking area in the country's north, and one of three Belgian regions.

The national capital, Brussels, considered its own region, lies near Flanders' southern edge and Antwerp is a port city and major diamond trade centre.

During the tour, an expert from the museum will provide information and insight, zoom in on details and tell stories about the museum's collection.

The museum tours, which are stand-alone documentaries lasting 10 to 15 minutes, are narrated in Dutch with English subtitles.

The museums featured:

Museum Mayer Van Den Bergh in Antwerp

The museum's Director will recount the story behind the masterpiece Mad Meg by Bruegel, which the museum originally purchased for the equivalent of 12 Euros.
